    Huashan 1914 Creative Park

    What used to be a winery with numerous huge storage rooms during Japanese occupation in Taiwan has now been turned into a venue for exhibitions and other activities that require flexibility in space. It is a favorite site for display of creative designs or artistic performances. It currently houses many stores of brand designs, artifacts of daily usage, and restaurants of different features.

    Shilin Night Market

    Crispy yet juicy fried chicken, steam-fried baozi, frog-laid eggs ( a kind of cold drink, similar to pearl milk), sausage encased with sticky rice, medicinal pork rib soup, oyster omelet, sauteed squid etc. all sorts of Taiwanese indigenous delicacies are here to please visitor’s taste buds.     Ju Ming Museum

    Nestled between rolling hills along the coast in Jinshan District of New Taipei City, the museum itself fits well into its surroundings. The building, shaped like a pyramid, has a wide indoor display of Ju Ming’s sculptures and paintings. Outdoor exhibits are mostly his colossal pieces of work featuring Tai Chi.

    Yehliu Geopark

    Located in Wanli District of New Taipei City, Yehliu is famous for its rock formations caused by weathering and wave erosion. Melting erosion panel, cleavage, candle-shaped rock, mushroom rock, pothole etc. seen here are all nature’s wonders.

    Qianshuiwan

    Located in Sanzhi District of New Taipei City, Qianshuiwan is noted for its broad and straight sandy beach.     Situated in Rueifang District of New Taipei City, Chiufen used to be a township noted for its gold mine. The town is surrounded by mountains with an extraordinary view of the ocean in distance.     Jinguashi

    Gold Ecological Park, Shuinandong, Longdong Bay Ocean Park are all attractions of the town. A visit to the gold Ecological Park gets people to know Jinguashi’s mining history and its unique culture. In addition, gold panning is a pleasure not found anywhere else in the country. Shuinandong features an inlet with waters of yellow and blue mixed, dubbed “Ying-yang Sea”. Longdong Bay is an inlet caused by collapsed fault line, and is rich in marine life. It also serves as a choice location for water activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling etc. Longdong cape in the southern part of the park is a cliff where people go for rock climbing training.

    The museum is located in Northern District of Taichung. A 40-meter high glass conservatory is actually a greenhouse showcasing Taiwan’s botanical ecology. The Space Theater is a semi-spherical dome tilted at a 30-degree angle. Here the audience are introduced to a trip to the space through animation.

    Taichung Cultural and Creative Industries Park

    Buildings and machinery established in this park during Japanese occupation are well kept. There are performance or exhibition halls and spaces of different sizes for businesses to rent for meetings or various activities.

    Xitou Monster Village

    This is a strip mall specifically designed in Japanese style, with eateries, giftware shops featuring monster characters. It has become a hot spot in Xitou ever since its inception in 2011.

    Sun Moon Lake

    Located in Yuchih Township of Nantou county, the Sun Moon Lake is the largest lake in Taiwan with an area of 827 hectares. It is also noted for its nature ecology. The bicycle trail around the lake is listed as one of the ten most beautiful trails in the world. Other spots worth seeing include Ita Thao Pier, where the Thao tribe’s annual harvest festival is observed on August 15 (lunar calendar), and the visitor center, designed by famous Japanese architect Norihiko Dan.

    Paper Dome

    Paper Dome was originally built in Japan after the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake, serving as a temporary church. After the 921 Earthquake in Taiwan in1999, the building was deconstructed, shipped, and reconstructed in the hardest hit township Puli, Nantou County in memory of people surviving a natural disaster with perseverance. The Dome is constructed on 58 cardboard tubes with chairs made of the same material scattered both indoors and outdoors.

    Due to the quality of spring water and climate, Puli Winery makes the township famous for Shaoshine Wine that it produces.

    Mt. Bagua Buddha Scenic Area

    The key attraction here is the 23-meter high Buddha statue established in 1954. Standing high up on the hill brings a panoramic view of the Changhua plain to the visitors.

    Lukang used to be a big port of trade. Relics and houses of a hundred years old are scattered along the old streets and even behind brick alleys .Stores selling traditional artwork are full of nostalgic touches. Tian Hou Temple and Longshan Temple, with their ornate décor attract tourists in droves.

    Autumn-red Valley Ecology Park

    An ecology lake with a trail surrounding it brings visitors a feeling of close to nature. Maple leaves turning red in autumn, concerts performed in the evenings or during weekends make the park a very soothing place to go for relaxation.

    Fengjia Night Market

    Located next to Feng Chia University, Fengjia Night Market is currently one of the largest night markets in Taiwan. It is noted for both creativity and ingenuity in coming up with new delicacies. A wide range of stores offer consumers selections at good prices. The joy of coming here for a visit is unimaginable.

    Watching the Sunrise on Alishan

    One of the best spots for sunrise watching is Zhu Mountain (Zhushan), which stands at 2,489 meters above sea level. The sun rises against a backdrop of mountain peaks and valleys touched by clouds. The beauty of the nature here is beyond description.

    Fen-chi Lake

    A small township nestled in the mountain. It used to be a pit stop for railway travelers going to the mountain top (Alishan). Now it has become a nostalgic township noted for local delicacies, among which, meals served in wooden boxes are the key attraction.

    The largest sun dried field for sea salt turned leisure park, it occupies an area of roughly a hectare with a pile of salt that stands six-story high. Besides display center, there is also an area reserved for experiencing how seawater is crystallized into salt.

    Taijiang National Park

    The park including a lagoon is an ecological protection area that covers 39,310 hectares along the southwestern coast of Taiwan. This precious wetland is full of wildlife resources, most noticeably mangroves, black-faced spoonbills. A ride on a bamboo raft through the green waterway surely makes an ecology trip more than enjoyable.

    Anping Tree House

    Constructed in the 19th century, the tree house was originally a warehouse of a British enterprise, Tait & Co. The house is entangled with banyan trees around it, making it unique in its own way. The outdoor grassland is designed as a space for performances or activities of different kinds. The nearby Anping Old Fort was built by Dutch people in 1624, and was the first fort ever built in Taiwan. Stretches of the original rampart are still left in place today. Adjacent to it, the building that used to be the dormitory of the Customs Office is now used for displaying historical documents.

    Chihkan Tower

    Built 1n 1652 by Dutch people during their occupation. Being one of the oldest historical sites in Tainan, it is a class one monument. The yard surrounding it is decorated with historical artwork and is good for strolling.

    Propelled by artists and government, the transformed art center now provides spaces for performances, exhibitions, festivities, and meetings etc. The railway tracks along the harbor that only freight trains used in the past has now been turned into a bicycle trail. Pedaling along it is rewarded with a beautiful view of the harbor.

    The Love River

    The Love River, 16.4 meters long, runs through Kaohsiung. The low course of the river was reconstructed into a riverbank park where people go for a leisure time strolling. Each day from4 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. tourist ferries moving along the river provide a spectacular view of the city skyline. Glory Pier, close to the Love River, is part of the bicycle trail that cyclists enjoy visiting. Currently it is also the resting spot of the world famous Rubber Duck.

    Liouhe Tourist Night Market

    An ordinary straight street in the daytime is turned into a bustling night market that supplies all kinds of delicacies known to Taiwanese residents. Some dishes originated here have become popular and widely accepted in the country.

    Tsoyin Military Dependents’ Village

    Tsoyin has the highest density of military dependents’ villages in Taiwan. The navy dependents are abundant here, as such their villages have all been keeping a traditional nostalgic touch.

    The bay is the largest inlet in Taiwan, and it is also a lagoon. It is the southernmost point in the country that mangroves are growing.     Kenting National Park

    Located at the southern tip of the Hengchun Peninsula, and surrounded on three sides by the sea, the park is one of Taiwan’s most famous tourist spots. It is also the only place in Taiwan graced by tropical climate with some plants growing here not seen in other parts of the country. Water activities attract visitors to come here in droves throughout the year.

    National Museum of Marine Biology & Aquarium

    Chisingtan is located in the northeastern corner of Xincheng Township. An inlet of sea with crystal clear waters makes gravels under the sea waves visible to the naked eyes. It is also known for its seafood. Without any artificial illumination, sitting here in the evening, listening to the sounds of splashing waves is very mind refreshing.

    Taroko National Park

    Deep canyons, precipices featuring the park are breathtaking. Tunnel of Nine Turns, Swallow Grotto, Eternal Spring Shrine, Tiansiang are all famous sites. The Suao-Hualian Highway carved out of mountain rocks makes itself a spectacular scenery, especially at Cingshuei Cliff.

    Occupying an area of 18 hectares, the park is the largest site in Taiwan that prehistoric artifacts have been excavated. It is also the largest graveyard relic in Southeast Asia. Besides the display of artifacts, excavation is still going on. A route of archeological tour is arranged to let visitors have a better understanding of the park’s value.

    Luanshan Trbal Village

    The village is known for its Forest Ecology Museum, a museum of a physical forest showing how its natural resources are kept in their original forms. Visitors can experience bonfire cooking, rope ladder climbing, tree planting ceremony etc., and get a better understanding of the tribal culture.

    Visiting a Rural Farm

    Through the integration of farming and tourism, visitors can learn to appreciate farmers’ toil. Taking part in rice planting or harvesting can also help to build up team spirit of an enterprise.

    This used to be the hunting ground of the Puyuma tribe. During the Japanese occupation, some Japanese citizens were relocated here as one of the immigrant settlements in Taiwan. As a result, quite a few Japanese buildings are still kept here. Bicycling here across rice paddies and tea plantations is a very enjoyable experience.

    Luye Highland

    This highland is a concentration of tea plantations in Taitung County. Looking down from here, the panoramic view of the tea plantations and rice paddies reaching far into the distance is breathtakingly picturesque. Paragliding, hang gliding are both widely practiced here due to the advantage of its geographical location. Each year, between June and September, hot air balloon festival held here is an event that attracts a great multitude of visitors.

    Grass Skiing

    Taitung County is a great location for quite a few outdoor activities, of which grass skiing is one. Races for either individual contestants or relay teams are good activities to help build up the team spirit of an enterprise.

    Chulu Pasture

    Sitting at an elevation between 200 and 390 meters, covering an area of 67 hectares, it is the largest hillside pasture in Taiwan. Visitors can taste different kinds of dairy products made here.     Fugang Fishing Harbor

    Close to Taitung City, Fugang Fishing Harbor, with a cluster of sea food restaurants, is a vital distribution center of fishing catches along the eastern coast of Taiwan. It is also the pivotal location for transportation to off-shore islands including Green Island and Orchid Island.

    Rafting on the Hsiukuluan River

    The Hsiukuluan River is the longest river in eastern Taiwan. Gorges, rapids, canyons, cliffs are along the waterway, making it the best white-water rafting destination in Taiwan. Such an activity benefits a lot to the team spirit building for the employees of an enterprise.

    Water Running Up

    Along the Hualian-Taitung Coastal Highway, there is an irrigation ditch that is spectacular in a way that the water is directed to flow upward, a man-made wonder.

    Ami Folk Center

    This is a traditional tribal building exhibiting artifacts, handicrafts of the tribe, with weaving demonstration on the scene. There is an outdoor space which can seat 1,000 spectators for the traditional performances of the Ami tribe.
